Today, I am here to share my views on a natural looking blush from Maybelline named Maybelline Color Show Blush Creamy Cinnamon Shade which has subtle shimmers in it and looks almost matte on my skin. This ultra-light blush feels weightless on the skin and is easy to apply. This is one of the best affordable blushes available in the market. Here is the review in detail :
Claims By Maybelline :
Maybelline`s Color Show Blush has a silky smooth texture for an exquisite feel.
- Fresh hues complement your natural skin color.
- Gives your cheeks a luminous glow and natural finish.
- Feels light on the skin.
- Silky Smooth Texture.
- Dermatologically Tested.
How To Apply :
STEP 1: Using the fingertips, apply a small amount of blush onto the apples of cheeks and blend from the cheekbones to temples.
STEP 2. To build color intensity, apply more blush.
It comes in really simple travel friendly packaging which is quite sturdy too. It is packed in a nice quality black colored round plastic pan like packaging which is see through from the top so that one can have a look at the color if owns more than one from the same range. There is a lot of product in such a small container which is so easy to carry and thus travel friendly too. It is quite pigmented as well. I use a blush brush to swirl in it and it gives a good color in the very first swipe.
Shade & Texture :
It is peachy cinnamon shade which is a warm shade which gives a natural flush on the skin. It will suit to fair to medium skin tones and not on the deeper skin tones much as I feel.
It has very light subtle shimmer particles in it which is so mild and almost invisible. To me, it looks like a matte blush completely. It stays for 4-5 hours and then fades away slowly. As, it is so natural on the skin so the skin doesn`t look bad when it comes to fading.
My Experience With Maybelline Color Show Blush Creamy Cinnamon Shade :
It looks so natural on my skin like I have a natural flush on the apples of my cheeks. It doesn`t look like I am wearing any blush.
I already had a blush from the same range named Fresh Coral as suggested by SA. I used to love that blush. This range was previously named as cheeky glow and now, Maybelline has rebranded these blushes as Color Show blushes. As, I had the peach shade earlier which got expired and this time, I wanted to try some other shade, so I went for the Creamy Cinnamon this time as I wanted a natural blush for everyday use.
These blushes are in matte texture due to which I am totally in love with these. One can use matte blushes on everyday basis and on special occasions too that is the beauty of matte blushes.
I feel like it complements my skin and its buildable too without looking cakey. I apply foundation first and then I swirl the blush brush on to the cute little black pan and I go with a very light hand when it comes to blushes coz color can be build up easily and slowly but later on fixing the intense color can be a pain sometimes. Although, the beauty blender or makeup sponge or even powder puff which was used earlier with foundation or powder, can be used to lighten or fade the color of blush a bit but it may emphasize pores when it comes to lighten it so building the color slowly is much easier rather than to fade it later on.
