There was a time when i used only pink or pink brown lipsticks. But these days, i am trying new colors like Peach, Orange, Red, Coral, Fuschia and Pink too, of course. So, I am here with my review on the Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in the Shade Peach Crush. This is a bright peachy coral shade which is so pigmented and looks red after application but after 2-3 hours when fades it gives a beautiful peachy coral shade on my pigmented lips. At first, when i applied it, I really didn`t liked the shade. It looked like a sort of red shade. But after 2-3 times, I started liking it and no, this is one of my lovable matte shades these days.
It comes in a silver metallic case with a transparent cap on it and the bottom part is color coded and can be separated and can be used if you want to apply it using a brush. Actually, the bottom part looks like a container when opened which is although not very handy to remove it and use lipstick from within for a brush application as one of my lipstick got broken from the downward side as it is made of plastic only. So one can keep it only for the shade selection. The shade name and number are written at the bottom part. So it will be easier to find out the shade if you have many shades from the same range.
This lipstick as the name says is velvet matte as it name it is matte in texture but creamy and smooth at the same time and gives hydration to the lips too. The only problem with this lipstick is that it settles into the lines to some extent and leaves a reddish or sometime coral tint behind which needs a good makeup remover for it to remove. Otherwise, the formula plus shade both are pretty nice.
This shade of velvet matte range is very much pigmented and the color shows up properly even on applying a single coat but darker skin tones may need 1-2 swipes and you are done. It is a bright peachy coral shade. It stays on me for more than 6-7 hours with one meal and snacks in between. It fades a little and settles into the fine lines of the lips so you may need to reapply if you want that actual color again. This is a peachy coral shade which will suit almost all skin tones.
Final Verdict :
All in all, this is a very nice peachy coral bright shadewhich will suit wheatish to some darker skinned tones who want to try a peach color with elegance in such a price. This is matte in texture too but does not dry out your lips. This has a very light fragrance which is not bothering so such. Staying power is also good.It is highly pigmented, gives superb coverage and settles to a matte finish.
